Location

I work in North London, including Barnet, Enfield, Finchley, Southgate, Mill Hill, and Muswell Hill.

Sessions take place on-site. This means I travel to schools to provide counselling in a private room arranged by the school. This approach makes support accessible and minimises disruption to the school day.

What to expect when you contact me

  1. Initial contact - You get in touch via the contact form or email. I respond within 1 working day.
  2. Free consultation - We have an initial conversation to understand your child's needs and whether counselling is the right fit. This is free and there is no obligation to proceed.
  3. School contact - If we decide to go ahead, I contact the school to arrange sessions. You will need to provide consent for counselling to take place.
  4. Sessions begin - Sessions start at the agreed time each week. Payment is made in advance by bank transfer.
  5. Regular reviews - Progress is reviewed typically every 6-7 sessions and then at the end of the engagement to ensure the work remains helpful.

Common practical questions

How long does counselling last?

This varies depending on the child and their needs. A minimum of 10 sessions is recommended to allow time for trust to build and for meaningful work to take place. Some young people may need more.

What happens if my child misses a session?

If 24 hours notice is given, there is no charge. Late cancellations or missed sessions without notice may be charged. This ensures that the time remains available for your child.

Can I speak to you during the work?

Yes. While session content remains confidential, I may check in with parents or carers where appropriate and agreed. You are welcome to contact me if you have concerns or questions.

Do you work with schools outside North London?

My primary area is North London. If you are unsure whether your school is within this area, please get in touch and we can discuss.
